How to change your password

For users wanting to change their NetID password, we strongly encourage that you change your password by using a Windows domain-joined computer by following the steps below.

Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, and 7.

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard
  2. Select the “Change a password” option
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Enter your new password again to confirm it
  6. Press enter or click the arrow pointing to the right
  7. Your password has been changed

Remote Desktop & Citrix Users

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + End on your keyboard
  2. Select the “Change a password” option
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Enter your new password again to confirm it
  6. Press enter or click the arrow pointing to the right
  7. Your password has been changed

If you do not have access to a Windows domain-joined workstation, either in person, via Microsoft Remote Desktop/Citrix, or other means of communication with your workstation. Please follow the steps below.

Web Portal

  1. Using a web browser, navigate to https://adfs.laurens.tech/adfs/portal/updatepassword
  2. If your where sent a link by technical support, the username box should have your username filled in. However if not please enter your username or email, whichever you where directed to use by I.T.
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Enter your new password again to confirm it
  6. Select the box next to the “I’m not a robot” text
  7. Select the change password button. Please do NOT spam or click the change password button multiple times if you do not see feedback/response, the system is preforming a security check in the background.
  8. Wait for a confirmation message
  9. Your password has been changed
